Overlord

Lord of Seals

One banner. The strength of a clan.

Lead your clan beneath Pa’agrio’s flame. Strengthen those fighting around you, weaken monsters with your seals and hold your people together when the battle grows fierce.

The clan is the point.

The Overlord changes less than the other supports, and that is deliberate: the clan was always the point. What comes in is a banner that costs MP, seals that land better on monsters and an emergency that is no longer invulnerability.

  1. Banner of Pa'agrio

An aura for the clan, not the party: +5% P.Atk and +10% M.Atk for every clan member within range, while the banner flies and the Overlord pays MP per second.

  2. Bound clan buffs

The clan buffs keep their Interlude values, bound by clan: full value with the Overlord in the same clan and within reach; the alliance receives them at 50%.

  3. Seals against monsters

Seal of Submission weakens every monster around you for fifteen seconds, and the other seals land more often against monsters than against players.

  4. Pa'agrio's Guard

For ten seconds, whoever strikes the chosen ally is held in place for three seconds. The ally becomes a trap.

  5. Flames of Invincibility without invulnerability

For thirty seconds the clan in the area takes 90% less damage from monsters and raids. Players still hurt: it saves from a wipe, it does not decide an ambush.

Four decisions per fight.

Names as they appear in the game. The icons are the Knell client’s.

Banner of Pa'agrio

Aura · MP per second · clan · Level 40

Strengthens the physical and magical attacks of clan members near the Overlord, while the banner flies.

Seal of Submission

Active · 15 s · 2 min cooldown · Level 44

Monsters within 300 lose a quarter of their attack and magic power for fifteen seconds. The Dominator also takes their attack speed.

Pa'agrio's Guard

Reactive · 10 s · 30 s cooldown · Level 48

For ten seconds, whoever strikes the chosen ally is held for three seconds. A raid can still resist the hold.

Flames of Invincibility

Active · 30 s · 30 min cooldown · clan

The clan in the area takes 90% less damage from monsters and raids for thirty seconds. Player attacks remain dangerous.

When the raid turns.

The raid has turned. Half the clan is below a third of its HP and the healers are out of mana. The Overlord does not retreat. He plants the banner and calls on Pa'agrio’s flame. For thirty seconds the raid’s blows barely bite. The clan holds, the mana returns, the line is rebuilt. A rival clan watching from the ridge knows those thirty seconds would not have saved anyone from them.

An example vignette. Flames of Invincibility only cuts monster and raid damage; against players, the flame does not protect.

What he covers. What he does not.

Covers

  • Empower: banner and clan buffs for the whole clan within range
  • Control: weakened monsters and a hold on whoever strikes your ally
  • A raid-sized emergency, once every half hour
  • Alone: viable, slowly, with the seals and the buffs on yourself

Does not cover

  • Healing and rescue: the Overlord leads, he brings nobody back
  • Little for a party of strangers: the strong tools reach the clan
  • Protection against players: the Flames do not cover PvP

Walks well with

  • A clan that hunts together, with the Overlord within range
  • A Bishop or an Elder, who keep the clan breathing
  • A Warcryer: chants and seals on the same pull

From the camp to the throne.

The second profession is your specialization. The third, at 76, widens what the second already decided.
